The achievable rating and certification depend on your market and the standard your authority requires, so they are confirmed for each project. Send your door schedule and fire specification, and we will confirm what can be supplied and which documents are available before you place an order. Do not assume a rating until it is confirmed in writing.

Can we use our own hardware on a fire-rated door?

Hardware on a fire door usually must be compatible with the certified door set, including hinges, closers, locks, seals and any door viewer. Changing one item may affect compliance. Share your hardware schedule early so it can be checked against the certification requirements of your market before machining starts.

Can fire doors match the non-rated doors in the project?

In many cases yes. Veneer species, colors, trims and handles can be matched so corridor doors and interior doors look consistent. The internal construction, frame and seals differ, so mark clearly in the door schedule which openings are rated and which are not, and we will reflect this on shop drawings.

Who installs fire-rated doors?

Installation quality directly affects fire performance, including frame fixing, gaps and sealing. Many markets require trained or certified installers and an inspection after fitting.
