Which runners do file drawers need?

Full-file drawers are heavy, so they need full-extension runners rated for higher loads. Partial-extension runners leave files at the back hard to reach. Soft-close runners also protect contents. Confirm drawer width and expected load so runners are selected correctly. Heavier legal files may need stronger runners than A4 files.

Can the unit fit under an existing desk?

Yes, if you send desk height, clear knee space and any modesty panels or frames. Leave clearance above the unit so drawers open freely. Mobile units with castors must fit under the desk including the castor height.

Are locks secure enough for documents?

Furniture locks deter casual access but are not safes. For highly sensitive papers, a fire-resistant safe inside a cabinet is better. Central locks lock all drawers with one key, which is convenient for home use. Ask for spare keys with the order, because replacement keys are harder to match later.

Can it hold both A4 and letter files?

File rails can be set for one format or made adjustable. If you store mixed formats, tell us which is most common so drawer width suits it. Lateral file drawers can also take files side to side.
