Why do appliance models matter?

Each brand has different dimensions, door swings, vent and hose positions. Cabinets built to generic sizes may leave gaps or prevent doors from opening. Send the exact washer and dryer models, or the range under consideration, so bays, clearances and stacking frames are drawn correctly.

How do you protect cabinets from water?

We use moisture-resistant boards, fully sealed edges, adjustable plastic legs and a raised plinth or sealed base under the sink. Gaps are left for ventilation and hose access. Floors should have drainage, and leak trays under washers are recommended for upper-floor apartments. Avoid placing cabinets where steam vents directly onto fronts.

Can we put a worktop over front-loading machines?

Yes, this is common for folding space. The worktop must be supported independently of the machines, with enough clearance for vibration and access for servicing. Machines must slide out for maintenance, so avoid fixed fillers that trap them. Leave space above front-loaders for hoses and vibration, and check that the worktop depth suits the room walkway.

What should the electrician and plumber know?

They need the shop drawings showing socket heights, water valves, drains and vent outlets, so these are reachable behind removable panels and not blocked by cabinets. Coordinate before tiling. We provide drawings with service positions marked for site teams. This avoids cutting finished panels on site, which damages edges and lets moisture into the board core.
