Everyday shoes, sneakers and flats fit best. Tall boots and bulky shoes may not fit a slim tilt-out flap, so many projects pair it with a deeper cabinet or open bench. Tell us your typical shoe types to size flaps.

Is wall fixing necessary?

Yes. Tilt-out flaps shift weight forward when opened, so the cabinet must be anchored to the wall. We supply fixing hardware and mark positions. Lightweight walls may need plugs or blocking.

How do you prevent odor?

Slots in the back or plinth and gaps at the flap allow airflow. Easy-to-clean surface finishes help with maintenance. For damp climates, consider a ventilated plinth or a separate drying area for wet shoes.

Can it be floating?

A floating version gives floor space for slippers and makes cleaning easier, but needs a strong wall. We design wall cleats accordingly and confirm fixing points on drawings. Floating units also look lighter in very small entries. Mount height should leave enough space under the cabinet for slippers or a robot vacuum, and the flaps must still clear any door handle or switch nearby.
