Product Description

Attic Sloped-Ceiling Wardrobe Buying Guide

An attic sloped-ceiling wardrobe suits loft bedrooms, converted roof spaces and top-floor hotel rooms where standard wardrobes waste space under the slope. It is not suitable when the roof pitch or wall positions are not yet measured accurately, because each angle is cut to size. Very shallow slopes may leave little usable hanging height. Before ordering, confirm site-measured ceiling angles, knee-wall height, skylights, insulation or ventilation needs and where hanging versus drawers will go.

Arcova converts site measurements into shop drawings and 3D views, CNC-cuts angled panels and labels every part for installation. Finish samples are approved before production, and installation guidance helps local teams fit and scribe units correctly.

FAQ

Attic Sloped-Ceiling Wardrobe FAQs

How should the attic be measured?
Measure the ceiling slope angle, knee-wall height, the points where slope meets flat ceiling, and wall lengths at several heights, since attic walls are rarely square. Photos and a simple sketch help. For larger projects, a site survey drawing from your contractor is best. We return shop drawings for checking before production.
Can hanging space work under a slope?
Long hanging needs the tallest section; a typical long-garment rail needs around 1600 mm or more of clear height, and short hanging less. Lower areas are better for drawers, shoes or shelves. We plan the layout so each zone matches the available height, which the drawings will show clearly.
Are angled doors more fragile?
Angled doors are not weaker, but hinge positions and door balance need careful planning, and very sharp angles can make doors awkward to open. Sometimes splitting into a lower door and a fixed angled panel works better. We review each door on drawings and suggest the more practical option.
What about ventilation and insulation behind the wardrobe?
Roof spaces can have condensation risks. Leave any required ventilation gaps, avoid blocking vents, and confirm with your builder whether the wall needs an air gap behind the back panel. Moisture-resistant board can be chosen for areas near external roofs. These details should be agreed before drawings are finalized.
