Hallway Storage Wall Buying Guide

A hallway storage wall suits apartments and townhouses with a long corridor or entry where shoes, coats, vacuum cleaners and household items need hiding. It is not suitable for corridors too narrow for door swings or where fire escape widths would be reduced. Before ordering, confirm corridor width, wall length, ceiling height, meter boxes or switches on the wall, shoe and coat quantities and whether sockets are needed for vacuum charging.

Arcova plans each hallway storage wall with zones for shoes, coats and utilities, and keeps door lines aligned across the full wall. Finishes are approved by sample, and units are packed and labelled by apartment.

  • Made to your drawings and site measurements
  • ISO9001, BSCI and FSC certified factory
  • Export packing labelled by unit and room

FAQ

Hallway Storage Wall FAQs

Can meter boxes be hidden?
Yes. We build a cupboard section with a removable back or open frame so meters and distribution boards stay accessible. Some utility companies require clear access or specific door types, so check local rules. Mark meter positions and sizes on the wall elevation you send for drawings.
How deep should a hallway storage wall be?
Shoes need less depth than coats on hangers. Shallow sections save corridor width while deeper bays handle coats and the vacuum. We can vary depth along the wall to keep the corridor comfortable, then align the door faces with a stepped plinth or reveal so the wall still looks continuous.
Can doors blend with the wall?
Flush handle-less doors painted in the wall color, or finished to match the interior doors, create a seamless storage wall. Push latches or routed groove handles keep surfaces clean. Push latches need regular use and adjustment, so grooves are often preferred in rental projects.
Is a vacuum charging point possible?
Yes. We route a socket into the broom cupboard and leave ventilation gaps so batteries do not overheat during charging. A local electrician connects the supply. Mention the vacuum model so the cupboard height, dock bracket and socket position suit the charging base.
