Oak Veneer Kitchen Cabinets Buying Guide

Oak veneer kitchen cabinets suit premium apartments, villas and boutique hotels where buyers want real timber character without the movement risk of solid wood panels. Veneer gives consistent grain over large fronts, but it is not the right choice for heavy-use rental kitchens with frequent impact, or for very humid sites without ventilation, where melamine or lacquered MDF performs better. Before ordering, confirm veneer cut, stain color, sheen level, edge detail, sink and hob positions, and whether finish samples will be approved against a physical reference.

Arcova produces oak veneer kitchen cabinets from shop drawings, sends finish samples for approval before mass production and inspects color and grain consistency with photo reports. Hardware from Blum, Hettich or DTC is selected by budget, and export packing is labelled by unit for site installation.

FAQ

Oak Veneer Kitchen Cabinets FAQs

Will the oak color vary between batches?
Natural veneer always varies slightly. We reduce visible differences by sorting leaves per kitchen, staining to an approved master sample and checking fronts side by side before packing. For large projects, ordering all units in one production batch and approving a signed color sample gives the most consistent result across apartments.
Is veneer suitable for areas near the sink and dishwasher?
Yes, if edges are fully sealed and the lacquer is suited to kitchen use. The risk is steam from dishwashers and water standing on door edges. We recommend dishwasher steam protection strips, sealed edges and a drip-free sink detail. Cleaning should use damp cloths, never soaking or abrasive pads.
How do I choose between rift-cut and crown-cut oak?
Rift-cut gives straight, linear grain and a calmer, modern look that repeats well across many units. Crown-cut shows cathedral patterns with more natural variation, suiting traditional or rustic schemes. Rift-cut usually costs more due to lower yield. Ask for physical samples of both before fixing the specification.
Can damaged veneer doors be repaired on site?
Small scratches can be touched up with a matching repair kit and lacquer pen. Deep impact damage normally needs a replacement door, which is why we label every front with a reference code. Keeping a small stock of spare doors for large developments helps with handover defects and later maintenance.
