How does PET compare with lacquer?

PET gives a uniform matte color, resists fingerprints and is usually more economical and consistent across large orders. Lacquer allows shaped profiles, any color and spot repair by respraying, but costs more and marks more easily. For volume projects with flat fronts, PET is often the practical choice.

Can PET fronts be repaired if scratched?

Light marks can often be reduced with gentle cleaning, and some super-matte surfaces have limited thermal repair properties depending on the supplier. Deep scratches or chips usually mean replacing the door. Keep a small number of spare fronts for large projects to simplify maintenance.

Is PET safe next to ovens and dishwashers?

Steam and heat can affect film-faced fronts over time. We recommend heat-protection strips beside built-in ovens and dishwasher steam guards under worktops. Send appliance models so we add these details to drawings and avoid edge lifting after handover.

Will colors match between batches?

We approve a color sample first and keep it as a reference. For large projects, PET material is ordered in planned batches and checked against the reference before cutting. Ordering additional phases with the same color code is possible, but slight batch variation should be checked by sample.
