Are lift-up lids or drawers better?

Drawers give easier daily access because the cushion does not need to be moved, which suits kids rooms and hotels. Lift-up lids hold larger items such as bedding and cost less. A mixed design with drawers at the front and a lid in the corner sections often uses angled bays best.

What about a radiator under the window?

The seat can be built over a radiator if the front and top include ventilation grilles and the cushion does not block warm air. Heat output will still reduce. If the heating engineer cannot accept that, relocate the radiator or design the seat with an open front section.

How are angled walls measured?

Each wall section and angle should be measured at floor and sill height, because bays are rarely perfectly symmetric. We add scribe strips so installers can trim to the wall on site. For repeated apartment layouts, measure one completed unit before releasing the full batch.

Can the cushion meet hotel fire requirements?

Yes, but the fire standard depends on the market and project. Tell us the required standard so foam and fabric are selected to suit and documents are provided. If you supply the cushion fabric yourself, it needs matching certification before we upholster. Fabric samples are approved before upholstery starts.
