How much weight can the platform carry?

The frame must handle people walking and sitting, not just sleeping. We design internal supports with spacing based on board type and use. Specific load values depend on design and are confirmed per project. Tell us if the platform will be used as a play area for children.

How do we prevent moisture under the platform?

Closed storage on ground floors or concrete slabs can trap moisture. We recommend moisture-resistant board for the base, ventilation gaps and keeping items off the floor. In humid climates, adding vent slots on the sides helps airflow. Confirm the floor type before production. Breathable mattress bases also reduce condensation.

Are traditional tatami mats included?

We can prepare the platform for standard tatami mats, a mattress or an upholstered top. Mat sizing differs by region, so send the size you plan to use. Many buyers source mats locally and order the platform with matching recesses. Recess depth is set on the drawing so mats sit flush with edges.

Is site installation difficult?

The platform ships in labelled panels and frames. Installers assemble the frame, level it on the floor, then fit lids and drawers. Uneven floors must be shimmed before lids are fitted so gaps stay even. Our step-by-step guide and online support cover the process. Gas struts are fitted last.
