It is not ideal where existing frames are sound and only door slabs are replaced. Why use an adjustable jamb?

Walls on site often vary in thickness due to plaster and board differences. Telescopic jambs adjust within a range so architraves sit flush on both sides without packing. This reduces site cutting and gives cleaner results across many openings.

Should frames be supplied with the doors?

Ordering frames and doors together ensures hinge positions, finishes and gaps match. Pre-hung sets go further by fitting the door into the frame at the factory. For projects with many openings, matched kits usually reduce installation time and mistakes.

Can architraves be minimal or hidden?

Yes. Flush frames with shadow gaps or concealed frames remove visible casings for a modern look, but they need precise wall construction and are often installed before plastering. Confirm the detail with your contractor early.

What information do you need?

A door schedule with opening width, height, wall thickness, door thickness, swing direction, finish, hardware and seal requirements. Floor finish height helps set frame length. Each kit is labelled to match this schedule.
